95 Classic potentially breaking. Huge spec.
- - - - - - Breaking cancelled due to engine unsold - - - - - -
Hi lads, I'm considering dismantling my unfinished classic WRX project. I've spent a fortune on it, but building a house now and need some of the cash back... She's been with me for a long time and there's a LOT of blood, sweat and tears in the old bitch, but needs must...
All prices are plus postage/freight at cost price.
Direct-port NOS kit (4 cylinder, 50-shot) Solenoids, jets, bottle, switch etc. £350
AEM UEGO wideband lambda sensor and gauge. This is far more responsive and accurate than a gauge off the standard sensor, and has an analog output to feed data to the ECU, as well as a digital output for datalogging etc. £100
Toyota Juno alloys, 17", centers bored to fit impreza hubs, with custom made wheel nuts (toyota ones are different thread pitch). Tyres are perished, but alloys are utterly unmarked. Only a few hundred miles from new. £200. (Wheel nuts cost almost £100 to get made)
Whiteline rear ARB, £80
Front AND rear upper strut bars. £40 each.
Injectors. Lots of 380s, £10 set, 440s - £35 set. 1000cc's, £220 set. I also have a set of adaptors to put the later style side feeds into the early rails. £30 for that.
4-pot front brakes. £200 ono. Also HEL braided flexis, new and never fitted. £50.
Competition engine. This is a Phase-I EJ20 CDB built from scratch with 600+ bhp in mind. Shes got JE pistons at 92.5mm, match-bored to each individual cylinder, with enough extra space to accommodate 600bhp's worth of crown expansion. Eagle h-beam conrods, which have been shot-peened for extra strength. The crank is balanced IIRC (I have huge notes on the build but its in the wife's filing system somewhere..) ACL bearings, ARP head studs, Cometic head gaskets, RCM modified 10mm oil pump and carbon timing belt guide. Ported and polished heads, and ported inlet manifold. There has been a ton of professional work done to this thing, with a folder of receipts and notes to prove. The engine was built for a friend of mine (who is a total perfectionist), and I bought his wagon just to get this engine from him. It was run in not long before I bought it, and it hasn't covered 1000 miles since thanks to financially recovering from my wedding just in time to build a house and have another child..
Its priced to sell at £2500. This is a bullet-proof build, ready for huge BHP.
10lb Nitrous bottle with braided line. £80
Tein basic coilovers. Working perfectly but not in show-condition. £150.
25(??) row oil cooler. £50
Unknown brand oil filter relocation kit. I'll include hydraulic fittings but no pipes. Unless u fit it exactly where I had it you'll need different length ones anyway. Its not thermostatic so u might want to get a stat from Demon Tweeks or whatever. £60
Exedy (IIRC) 6-puck paddle clutch. This thing is as bitey as ****, really easy to stall but very very strong. Never been abused and I wouldnt normally sell this kind of thing but its too good to go to waste. £150.
Also a lightened and balanced flywheel, unknown brand. £100.
GT headers, unequal length. They're not pretty but perfectly functional and could do with the header-uppipe gasket being replaced. £100.
HKS Type 1(?) Turbo Timer. Includes plug-and-play loom for the classic. £35
Blitz ESBC (Electronic Scramble Boost Controller). A wonderfully simple boost controller and solenoid. Has Lo/High/Scramble boost settings as well as scramble duration. Rare and hard to find, this came direct from Japan. £100.
Reconditioned gearbox. BELIEVED to be UK-turbo ratios but doesnt have a gearbox code stamped on it anymore. If anyone knows how to find out what it is please let me know. Either way I think I have a diff to match both the import WRX and 2000-Turbo ratios. £400
ALSO have a RWD converted gearbox on TY752VB3AA and VB3FA ratios. £300.
Fuel Swirl Pot - £50
Also have a walbro 255 pump set up to work externally with this for £75, and a no-brand 255lph pump in-tank for £50
- - - -
Pice to follow on all these:
I have a Garrett GT4288 Turbo, with a custom-made riser-rotator pipe (T6 flange) that sits on top of the standard header-uppipe position. I've got gaskets and the downpipe flange (from australia) for it, but the downpipe hasnt been fabricated. £500 complete.
A 44mm external wastegate (new and un-used) £100
Hydraulic handbrake (new and un-used) £80
Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator £100 - includes fancy fittings etc.
6-speed drivetrain, complete with box, diffs, shafts, hubs, brakes even the gear lever. From a 2001 STi (bugeye). Pics/code to follow. £1800 inc brakes.
A Gizzmo anti-lag/launch control/full throttle shift/spark-cut rev limiter with controller and shift light - this is a fantastic unit that can set launch revs, pre-shift light, shift light and rev limit etc. It works off a reed-switch on the clutch pedal. I fabricated mountings for the switch so can also supply u with the complete pedal for an easy swap. Alternatively u can wire it to a button. Shiftlight is neat and bright. £150.
Blitz boost gauge. £50
Volk TE37 replicas. These are mega-light 18x10s, unknown brand. I bought the set but one of the 4 were heavily damaged and because I couldnt trace the brand, I couldnt get an exact match. Bought a Varrstoen one from the states which I think is close enough. The originals are white, the varrstoen is matte black so expect some painting. Tyres arent new but are good with plenty of tread. £450 These are off a Supra so need :
4x hub adaptors - to fit Supra/Skyline wheels to the impreza. £150
and probably:
4x fibreglass arch extensions, finished in original black. £85
HKS induction - £40
HKS SSQV4 - £40
Huge stock of spares from previous breakers. Coilpacks, Airflow meters galore, sensors, etc.
Much more to come but working from memory just now..
Breaking depends on selling the engine. Its half apart just now as I was going to work on fabricating the downpipe and external wastegate pipe etc.

Thanks for looking.

Arch extensions are universal aye.
The injector adaptors are to fit phase 1.5/2 injectors into phase 1 rails.
Still not breaking her until the engine and drivetrain are sold.
