Default 2006 STi Spec D SC42 Twinscroll Forged 2.5

My Impreza hawk got wrote off last month because some idiot in a taxi rear ended me. The insurance company has deemed it uneconomical to repair and have wrote it off.

It was only in January of this year that I spent thousands on it forging the engine and upgrading the turbo.

The car is still perfectly drivable, only body work damage but I can't bring myself to repair it.

Only covered 4500 since rebuild.

I have all receipts and Rolling Road graphs and can be heard/seen and driven before engine is removed.

Made 390 bhp on standard top mount and air box.

I've created a photo album for people to have a look at.

I keep getting asked how much I want for the car as a whole.

If anyone is interested in buying the car as a whole before I start breaking it then I am looking at wanting £6,000ovno. I have loads of receipts and quite confident the car is worth 8-10k if broken with all the hardware that's on it.

The car still runs and is perfectly drivable. I am happy to organise a rolling road event at my expense for any serious buyers to see the car/engine running as it's currently SORN.

Before I list parts separately, the engine needs to be sold first.

Just drop me a PM for any further info.

Engine Spec

79mm Nitrided Crank
Wiseco 100mm forged pistons
H rods (K1 I believe)
ACL race bearings (big end and main)
Newage Twin Scroll Sump
Cosworth baffled sump plate
The short block and been pinned to reinforce the cylinder liners
ARP 11mm headstuds
New OEM full cambelt kit and waterpump with all idlers and tensioner
1.2mm head gaskets

I was hoping to sell it as a complete running long engine with inlet manifold, throttle body and ancillaries attached (power steering and alternator) coil packs new NGK Spark plugs etc etc and possibly even turbo.

Reason being it also has TGV delete kit on it under the inlet manifold and secondary air pump delete kit. It also has scoobyclinics thermal manifold spacers.

Also on it is the RCM lightweight pulley kit on the crank, alternator and power steering pump with an RCM alloy cambelt guide and oil cooler.

It has an SC42 Twinscroll Turbo and the exhaust manifold and up-pipe was off an Impreza Spec C. The downpipe is Scoobyclinics own decat 3" to 2.5".

51921 is the mileage.

Sha at Pole Position built the short block. Rest was either done by myself or scooby clinic. Pat at Scooby clinic mapped the car.

I couldn't decide what gaskets to use as the info on the net is up and down, and cosworth wasn't rated on the research I did so stuck with OEM.

Standard OEM gaskets which are Victor Reinz I believe?. They are the new superseded version though with the better coolant channels. Definitely an improvement over the stock ones that were in it from new when held side by side.

Yes, Dccd is standard.

It's essentially the same as a normal STi but with leather, smaller spoiler and silver wheels.

Someone bagged a bargin, if they break it they'll get more than £6k just for bare long engine, box and front end, easily £10k in it.

Agree there is good money to be made if its broken but the engine is not worth £6K on 100mm bore, block only pinned not decked, 11mm studs not 14mm and standard valve train. With 4500 miles on it I would say its a £4k engine tops. Its a nicely speced engine but £6k is in 2.35 territory with valve train and cam upgrades and similar miles.
