Kevlar pads don't really meet my needs and I don't know how you use your car

I'd be looking at the setup from performance friction if using the oem caliper.

They do a 2 piece disc setup with either z rated or 01 compound pads from memory.
Z rated are less aggressive on your wheels etc but the 01s offer massive retardation. They do eat discs and wheels though lol.

Bought set as per first post to try out, if not liked then it's not too much money down the drain, they turned up this morning and surprised how heavy the discs are!
Pads look ok, will see once bedded in...

Yeah, Kevlar is a bit much for the 5 mile annual journey on and off your drive

Friction coefficient of rust must be up there with ceramics.

Good weight saving to be had with 2 piece disc & alloy bells but at a price.

you have to realise that the basic grooved discs at least, are just basic aftermarket discs with grooves cut in them.

They will be better that what I currently have, the inside of current discs are shot, if only slight improvement over OEM will be happy.
Did not want super high spec as not plan to track etc and kept away from drilled as had a set crack and fail on another car.

My original discs corroded badly on the inner faces. Less than half effective braking surface was left. Possibly caused by lack of use over six or so years! Corrosion on the inner face is more common than people realise, the problem is, it's difficult to spot it behind the disc shield. The DBA discs on the front are just starting to show evidence, now.
I also eventually replaced the rears (with Godspeed) as they were going on the inner faces as well.

John, see the photo of the inner of mine! Unless you take them off you would not know how bad they are, the outer side was perfect.
Think I will order set of rears?

And new ones fitted, the arrow was cleaned off!

Mine were worse than that!
They're possibly skimable but you're wise to replace with new.
Have you changed the brake fluid lately?
