That's what I was going to suggest they were. I used to run these in 18s till one cracked.

45 is a percentage of the tyre width 45% of 215 is less than 45% of 225

should hardly notice then once i have the 225s on then thanks for messages mate didnt want to lower it so hoping the 225 tyre will help close the gap a bit as the 215s look to thin

For what the wheels cost and the cost of new tyres I would be inclined to just get better wheels mate that you can run 235/45 on

Are you sure they are Redlines as they look more like my old Rota SDR's

def redlines mate i was sold them as so and googled them and the same wheel appears............im just going to get 225s a and maybe drop it a little .........i dont think it helps that the tyres are as bold as acoot either in appearance from what i hear standard bugs sit on 225/45/17s on 17 x 7s

right ive been told by the tyre man local to me that i can either run on 215/50/17s which will fill the gap most he reckons same there abouts as what i was running on the 235/45/17s OR i can just go with the book and have the standard size that all bugs run on 225/45/17

bigger profile tyres will not help the look much, it needs lowering with either springs or coilovers.

higher profile tyres will make you look like bigfoot

225 45 17s and either lowering springs or coilovers.

bigger profile tyres will look silly.
