Default Thoughts Please

The OEM steering wheel fitted to my Bug looks dated and thinking of change, my problem is I like to keep as OEM as possible.
Below is what I currently have (apologies for the photo)

And below is what I was thinking of changing too?

Thoughts/Comments??

There are two versions, the one in the second photo and similar but with silver airbag.
So all black or the black and sliver?

Do prefer the all black one

Hate to use the sti numbering system as it's not right for the newage.............but.....I've got the silver STi 8 wheel in my bug WRX, vast improvement but the silver went grubby quite quickly.

I'd plump for the later all black one shown

Another question: Is this wheel straight swap over with the correct clock spring etc, from some reading there was a change from single stage to dual stage from 04 onwards?

Is ther a write up on this, I will have a look using the search but just in case someone has it

The new wheel is from 07 car

Will follow this with interest - I have the same Momo wheel on my classic, and the leather is thoroughly worn on the top.

I quite like the three spoke wheel with the Subaru six star logo in the middle, though. I imagine it's slightly more involved to put a newage wheel in a classic than it is to put it into another newage.

For the record - the three spoke STi item would look much better in your car.

Quite like the grey one on my blob, but the black three spoke is nice and subtle

Still trying to find one in as close to mint condition as possible, have received one which i will not be using as to much wear on the wheel.
So still looking for one as per second photo at the start of the thread
