STI suspension or Prodrive Lowering springs
Toying with the idea of lowering my 2003 WRX wagon. Just looking into which option to take.
2nd hand STI shocks and springs, bring a drop of which I believe 10mm
Or
New Prodrive/Eibach lowering springs, brings a drop of 25/30mm
I do not want to go down the route of coilovers, as had them on my last car and they just don't work on uk (in my opinion).
What are peoples thoughts / experience?
Pics are most welcome.

Coilovers are far superior so long as you don't buy cheap cr@p.
Proper dampers are proper dampers be it fixed perch or coil over.
Personally I'd get new uprated dampers and the eibachs rather than put eibachs on your stock WRX dampers.
If you can't afford that then get oem STI springs and dampers.
If you have the budget then I'd suggest something from Bilstein, KW or Ohlins.
But either of the first two will be more than adequate for the UK roads.

Weighing it all up, for the purposes of just lowering I`d re-spring your WRX shocks with a nice set of Prodrives. I had these on MY03 WRX and it was very good value
I wouldn`t opt for the problematic STi inverted strut type out of choice as they have issues the Mono ? WRX type don`t have. If it`s just a road car I doubt you would notice the difference bar the banging on the STi shocks The MY04+ WRX`s got the inverted type struts and when I test drove one back in 2006 the dampening isn`t as good as my then MY03. I never liked them in my 2006 STi either tbh.
BC coilovers whilst in the mid range of cheapness are pretty good. I`ve been in a few cars running BC`s and as a passenger and driver they are a huge improvement over standard equipment. For improved grip and pointiness there`s no contest really between a spring upgrade and fitting coilovers.
If you want to do trackdays and p1ss about with the ride height all day long, go for a cheap set of £600 BC`s I`ve got a set on order pending spring rate of 7/5 for road and track

Had them on the MY03 Stealth Wagon along with Noltec rear drop links. Then added adjustable ARB. Only took them off when a failed seal meant the standard shocks had to be changed & put on my Leda's.
Happy days.
