Centre Section
Hi all, Just a quick question regarding my exhaust. Currently the system is stock and without the rumble. I've done a bit of reading and found people have changed their back box then had to change their centre section to get the desired rumble. My question is will just changing the centre section on a stock system improve the sound? When funds permit I will get a full system and re-map ect but wondered if this will be a quick fix for now?

Not really. The gains come from when the cats are removed as these provide an over boost as a result due to the lack of back pressure. Then mapping can net the gains properly.
If you were to add and remove a resonated centre section on say a 450+BHP car then I would imagine you would see some more significant changes in power. At stock levels you'll just notice the sound.

Volume for now, until I have the ££ for a full system + fuel pump + remap. But I dont want the car to sound over the top. At present the scooby doesn't sound like a scooby so I was thinking of just changing the centre pipe and maybe a prodrive back box to get the boxer rumble
