Default My two Classic Fords/Models.

As mentioned in my intro thread i used to own a 2004 '54' blobeye WRX,had the PPP & i added some STI parts to enhance the look, sold it in April 2011 to a local lad,saw it for sale late last year at a place on the A127.Still miss it but i fancied a change to a Classic Ford.

So,with the Scooby gone i started to look for a classic Ford,i wanted to find the most original-cleanest car i could with my budget (£2000).
I was very lucky to find a totally original-un-restored Mk1 Fiesta.
It's a 1982 'X' 1.3 GL (built in July 1981 in Spain).Colour is Ford Terracotta-3 prevoius owners-loads of history, guy i bought it from had it 7 years covering 1.300 miles, had 23,062 on clock day i picked it up.Still has the dealer plates-tax disc holder-both keys with original key rings.I managed to obtain a new dealer window sticker too.
Anyway on with the pics

My fave show so far was being part of the 100 car dispaly at Ford's Dunton site Sep 2011

Then in Nov 2011 it went to Terry Barton to have a few minor jobs done & complete detailing underneath.

Sep 2012 won 'best club car award'

My second old Ford-1989 Mk4 Escort 1.4 L slightly modified.

Hope you enjoyed the pics.

And finally my current model collection.

Welcome along mate

Loving the fezza

It's just tooooooooo clean

They never even rolled off the production line that clean

Well not at Dagenham anyway

Liking the Mk4 Escort too

You state the " slightly modified "

Is it a sleeper ????

As in it looks totally bog standard on the outside , but probably running RS Turbo lump underneath it

Nice retro model collection you have too

Thanks for the kind comments

I want to keep the Fiesta as tidy as poss so had it undersealed & detailed underneath, kept to original Ford spec

The Escort is still runing the standard 1400 CVH lump, the thought of a engine change appeals but its a long way off atm.

It came with the Rs steering wheel-so far i have added-
90 spec front Recaros with matching rear seat-grey door cards from an Orion GL as the originals were damaged.
Rs centre console-cut down gear stick.
35mm drop.
Custom made exhaust with 3.5" outward rolled tip.
15" Mondeo spare steel wheels painted Ford Stratos Silver.
New headlamps & up-rated bulbs.
Still got a few ideas

The models stand at about 70 reduced from about 150.

Sounds great

The escort would make a lovely sleeper thou

i've always fancied one , something bog standard on the outside,

And then blowing away other cars at the lights ! Or giving them a good run for there money
