Default Oil

Hi,

Just wondering as i've been given some titan race pro s 10w 50 for my 05 sti type uk.

I was just wondering as i'm not sure what oil the car had last put in it, would it be a problem just topping up the oil with this? obviously it's had 10w 50 in it.

Or would recommended oil change and re-use the titan oil?

I'm pretty sure i can just top up but i'd rather have a second opinion.

Thanks.

If you have enough new oil and you have had the current oil in the car long enough then you might as well get yourself a new filte and do a change

I would say go for a fresh oil change using a new oil filter, also insure the filter is pre filled and either remove the crank sensor of the fuel pump fuse and dry crank to build oil pressure.

Hmm fair play, i think the oil has been in there for a while, i've only got 5 litres of the stuff, so i may need to get some more. Quite pricey at 56 quid per 5 litre though lol.

Is it hard to change the oil on the scoob inc. filter? I've done it on a couple of other cars, just not this one, don't wanna fork out extra charges for taking it to a garage.

Thanks for the advice btw guys
