Tyre Wear Info....
Just wanted to post a bit of info for people to bear in mind if they are getting to the point where they need to change tyres on the Scoob........
I've just replaced the fronts on my STI and I've just worked out the mileage they covered before I changed them and I was a bit surprised.......
I put a set of Dunlop SP 01 Sports (standard factory fitment on the 2008 onwards hatch STI) on at 37,384 miles and I've just replaced the fronts at 57,120 miles - so that's 19,736 miles out of them............ OK I don't track the car (ever), but I do chuck it around a bit on the lanes when the opportunity occurs, so I'm surprised they lasted that long TBH........... and despite what some of you think, I do actually do quite a few fast 0-60's so they should have got even more wear than they have......
The rears went on at the same time, and I've deliberately never rotated them so that I could do this mileage check, and the rears look like they have at least another 3k-4k on them before I think they need changing....... so they are even better!
So - if you are wondering what tyres to go to - I can certainly recommend those for any Scoob........... amazing wear and tear properties......... turn in just as good as the Vreddies, not noticed any grip problems in the wet (ever) - so a wholehearted recommendation from me!!
If this is of any help to anyone - then this post has done it's job........
