Some thieving scum bag has stolen the catalytic converter and a spark arrestor off of my 2010 Ford Ranger!!!

It was parked out side my house last night (same place I have parked them for the last 8 years) and the f**kers have undone the rear flange and cut it about 8 inches from the front flange.

How much to replace?

Spark arrestor = £220.00 + VAT

Also fitted an anti-theft device, not sure if it will work.

Only saving grace is that it's a work supplied vehicle so they will foot the bill.

Police have said its on the rise so anyone out there not running and not planning on running a decat vehicle might want to keep their eyes peeled!

Where did this happen mate? My work yard is on the edge of Chelmsford, n we have a company nxt door that deal wiv breaking vans. They have been hit 4 times in the last couple of months all 4 cats, and the last time they got in their office fixed a chain 2 the safe and 2 a car outside n drove off up the road with the safe dragging behind! U can't leave anything anywhere!

Probably find its gypsies. They had a scheme goin where they would steal the inner parts of x5 mirrors then buy the empty shell and put them together and sell the complete mirror 4 £100 less than main dealers cause they knew the people they stole em from woul start looking on eBay cause they r so expensive!

we have had a lot of these nicked in braintree in the last 2 years at the garage where i sometimes work they had 10 stolen over a weekend a bill of over 20k

Not much I can do about it. I've had an anti-theft device fitted that's registered and also marked with "smart-water" stuff so will have to see what happens.

Its def on the rise im in Ipswich Suffolk and last week we had 1of our 3 vans attempted but we thing there got scared off, but still cut the pipe, The cats on our relays are 1k each, We were told about the anti theft item but to be honest it doesn't look that good, So i designed something and had it fitted and to be honest it would be very very hard for them to get the cat,

Pikeys have been nicking cats for years, they want the platinum out of them, recon we have a couple of vans/4x4 in a month with the cats robbed off them, they even nicked one off an iveco we had in for repair scum bags

The old ford dealership i used to work at have to bring all the transits and 4x4 in off the forecourt at night now as they have had so many robbed

I heard a rumour the other day that scrap yards are not taking new cats as the police are checking up on them!!!!

My brother is the manager of well known tyre and exhaust retailer and this week was nearly stabbed when he refused to let the local pikeys take the cats he had.

He's 20 odd stone and 6ft tall but when there's 3 pikeys with knives what do you do

really gets me when they cry human rights when they do **** like this, pay tax like everyone else then you have a right to complain until then shut the **** up

We have some pikeys who pick up some of our scrap appliances. They live down in Tilbury. Apparently it's going on all the time down there. Recon's they get £120 scrap for a Transit CAT and can get them off in 5 minutes a piece

someone i work with his brother sells grinders and cutting discs the pikeys are always coming in and ordering more discs, then they tried to nick the cat of their work van not knowing as it was at a house, the bloke comfronted them and got stabed with a screwdriver
