Smile Cressing Temple Car Show Sunday 17 July.

Sunday 17 July From 11.00am - 4.00pm

I know one of the organisers of this show and they would love for some of us to come & show our cars. For those that don't know Cressing Temple is just off the Witham to Braintree road (B1018) so easy access from the A12, A131 or the A120.

Cressing Temple, Witham Road, Cressing, Braintree, CM77 8PD

As well as more than 300 cars and motorcycles from the past 100 years, including a Lister Jaguar, the show will also feature a driving challenge on an F1 racing simulator. Visitors will also be able to see a replica of the "Silver Bird" wartime plane and there is an auto-jumble.

There will be plenty of catering including strawberries and cream, also a hog roast and beer tent.

A car parade will finish the day’s events and will feature a selection of vintage, classic and modern cars in action as they take part in a parade around the grounds.

If you are coming please let me or the organiser have your entry by the end of next week (Friday 8th or Saturday 9th July) at the latest.

It's there in my first post mate & it would be great to have you show off the RB5. I am hoping to entice a Type 25 to join us from Kent

It would be great to see you there Steve. I will ask Della the organiser about the trailer. I will probably see her tomorrow. Can't see it being a problem as they have loads of room & hold all sorts of trade shows etc on the grounds.

They issue an Exhibitors Pass to show to the parking guys as you enter so anyone wanting to display their car ideally needs to let them know by this weekend so they can get the pass posted to you.

I got mine 2 days after dropping my form off. You can register by copying this form & posting it or by email or phone. Details here :-

Nice one.

I spoke to Della today & bringing the Radical on a trailer is no problem Steve & a level area could be made available for you if you come.

No problem Scott. With so many shows & so little time to go to them all it's a job to choose.

Smile Woo hoo

Bit of a surprise in the post this morning.

Out of nearly 400 exhibitors they want just 2 or 3 from each decade to represent the development of motoring in a parade around the grounds.

They have asked me if they can have the Stealth Wagon in the parade as part of the last decade of motoring.

I have a Ferrari in front & a new MG6 behind.

I should be able to take the one in front in the twisties.

It would certainly make a good clip to put up on YouTube.

No need to feel guilty mate. It's just the way things have been for a while now. I posted this up on Scoobycity as well but no interest has been shown so far. I think there are more people from my work place going to visit the show at the moment Paul.

Nice thought mate but it is going to be a bit of a "showy" show.

Huge show. Very busy. Lots of interest shown in the Stealth Wagon. Few showers but nothing to worry about until the parade round the grounds when it tipped it down.

Few really old pics :-

Hi Mark.
Looked like a good show , and pleased the public loved your Wagon, it is something Different to many and spotless as well. Which always makes any car stand out.

I made it to my local Fete/ car show and was a wash out only 40 car sat the most . Last year I have been told they had about 140+. However, had a chat with many car nuts and thats what it all about.

Working this weekend but will see what comes up on the 31st July.

Paul.

Hi Paul. There were 300+ exhibitors & people were rolling in all day from 11 onward. Just 1 big downpour at 3ish that sent people scuttling home.

Few more pics from Sue on Scoobycity
