Bugeye wagon 1500 quid

Thought this was quite cheap, my brother was there today and told me about it. Those are not the original rear lights are they?

That could be a 500 quid repair with second hand parts.
My brother said it doesn't look like it needs any tugging (he's had more salvage motors than straight) so you could potentially source the parts for 500 quid or less. Bonnet, bumper, rads, and the rad pipe is split and front panel will be needed.
You'd aim to knock the price down, to 1200-1300 quid, so you could have a bugeye for less than 2 grand. I know its not an STi, but an STi is not for everbody.
Maybe the airbags didn't go off because seatbelts wern't being worn, or you never know, someone may have hit it when stationary.
Cat C is right for that, for the age I suppose, although there are worse cat D's out there.
