1998 Subaru Type R - For Sale
Yep, the time has come to let someone else have the fun...
Here is a 1998, R Reg, Subaru Impreza, STi Type R, Version 4.
This car is in very good condition for its age, and has been well treated by its only UK Lady owner.
I imported this car in 2007, as a standard car with approx. 60000 miles on it (it now have approx. 76000 miles) and have left it standard to this day (apart from a Forge dump valve). Since owning the car, it has had regular servicing. A new Cambelt and rear pads and discs were fitted in 2007, along with a complete closure alarm and immobiliser (all certificated).
In 2008 it had a new Bluetooth/iPod compatible Kenwood stereo professionally fitted, along with 4 Kenwood speakers (I still have the box and manual for this stereo) costing over £600 and also 18” Kato Split spoke alloys, with Avon tyres (still in good condition) fitted, costing £1000.
In 2009 it had a full body respray, costing over £1500, a new clutch and flywheel fitted costing £700 and new front pads and discs (Brembos) costing £300.
In 2010 it has had a recent engine rebuild, due to a slight noise, caused by wear in the big ends. This cost £2000, it is just coming up to having its first oil change, and has only covered 900 miles. The rebuild comes with a 12 month warranty.
The car comes with all the usual electrics (windows, folding mirrors etc), and also comes with adjustable diff and intercooler spray (all in full working order). The car has limited edition Colin McRae signed seats, which have been covered from the day I bought the car, so are in very good condition, and STi mats, including one in the boot. It has a turbo boost gauge, oil pressure & oil tempature gauge and volt meter factory fitted, which are all in perfect working order.
This car has had no expense spared, to keep it in excellent condition. It has never been ragged, raced, tracked or 1/4 miled! It is a very much loved car, and is only for sale due to a change in personal circumstances. It will be greatly missed! Please, no dreamers or test pilots.
