Been back half an hour .......
and god do my legs hurt !!!!
Just completed the London - Southend Bike ride and my **** and legs are shot !!!!
Fairly happy with the time, approx 5 hours 10 minutes, we left at 8.05 this morning (was aiming for 7.30 but the trains were slow !) and finally reached Priory park at 1.15 pm.
Now, if I do the ride next year, I will actually train for it I think, as I have only done approx 30-40 miles total this year
I did go prepared this morning, had some couscous on the train up there for an energy boost and had a couple of 'relentless' shots in my saddle bag, one water bottle full of water, one full of isotonic drink and then my 2litre Camelbak, which if I am honest, I could have managed without and saved on the extra weight.
Hope the rest of you that took part had a good day

well done Nate.
we didnt get started until 9:30ish. think it took us around 6hours. although we did have a couple of pub stops on the way. Not that sore at all, well apart from the massive sun bun i have on both arms and 1 leg!!! lol
Just want to say well done to Ross (kin quick) for completing it. Now some training for next year so we can get closer to the 4 hour mark

All joking aside, my botty did hurt and that was my worst issue, I was riding gammy just to take the pain away from my backside, and that in turn made it harder to ride .......... Should have bought a Grandad seat
I think we should enter a 'Team ESC' for next year ....... Could have dedicated Pink Shirts and everything
