Matching Green Classic & Sports Car Show
Well, I’ve just got back from the Matching Green Classic & Sports Car Club Annual Car Show……… Never been to it before, but was blown away with the cars that were there and the show in general!
Apart from the car clubs, there was an arena, beer stall, burger stall, tea stall, various stands selling old car bits, other stands selling flowers, pictures etc and another selling car detailing stuff…… very well done event!
I’ve taken a wide shot (stitched together from four photos) to show how big this thing has got…..
Apparently started well over 10 years ago as an annual event, and had grown each year - I “guestimate” that there was 200-250 cars on show… But NO Scoobies .
I have seen the Event Organiser and he will be willing to have up to 12 Scoobies at next years show, so I’ve registered for it and will get an invitation next year so we can try to attend…… assuming we want to of course, but it would be daft not to…..
As to the cars – well I saw some cars I’ve never seen before, and some really stunning, well renovated, classic cars – I do like to see the old cars when they have been restored well – shows true enthusiasm and dedication…
I’ve never seen an Allard Palm Beach before, nor a Bitter, an Iso Griffin, a Panwall, a Pao, a Roesch Talbot or a ******… bet not many of you have either!
And when was the last time you saw THREE Delorean’s in a row……… ??
Photos below, in alphabetical order as I named the files… They are exactly as I took them, not cropped in any way (couldn’t be bothered – too many of them)!
AC Cobra
Allard Palm Beach
Alvis
Austin
Austin Healey (100Z, 3000Z & 3000 Mk III)
Austin Morris Bakers Van!
Anyone for a BIG MACK??
Bitter
Bugatti (Stunning)…
Caterham
Chevrolet (Two Types)
Delorean (Three In A Row….)… !!
Ferrari (And a ***)…….
Ford (Three Types)
Ginetta
ISO Griffin
Jaguar (Two Types)
Lancia (Guess which one I want…..)…
Lotus
MG (Three Types)
Morgans (Loads)!! (Not sure about the pink one at the top though)...
Morris 6
Mustang
Nissan (Didn’t like that Carbon Fibre Bonnet much)….
Panwall
Pao Osiris
Pontiac
Roesch Talbot
Rolls Royce (Stunning……)
Triumph
Vauxhall
Volvo (Can’t be that one surely… can it???)
******
Wolsey
Phew! - That’s all I took, but you can see we NEED to be there next year…… The place was packed with enthusiasts and visitors, I had to wait for ages to get clear shots of some cars purely because of so many people looking at them!
Hope you liked!!!!

Saw something in the CM10 Magazine a few months ago, went on thier web site, liked what I saw, so made a note on the calendar to pop along...
Don't agree in this instance - There were a lot of different car clubs present, each one had modern cars as well as the older ones I took photos of..... I don't have any doubts that we would fit in quite well...
