Glad you decided to keep it, seems everyone is getting Focarse's and Mundano's at present, not many Scoob's left now

Full 3" decat (2.5" if your not going over 350ish), replacement higher flowing panel filter and a good re-map should see between 320 and 330bhp, some get a bit more, some get a bit less.

It's not so much the extra power, it's the way the car will drive, should feel much better throughout the rev range and well worth doing

Could also take the BIG resonator box out of behind the front wheel arch and make a home made forced induction pipe via a foglight trumpet if you fancy it too. Made mine from a sub woofer port and some large reinforced pipe from B&Q, drilled the fog light cover and colour coded the trumpet, cost me around £15 and 2hrs work, helped the breathing, didn't affect the MAF and looked pretty cool too

PS, Bugeye STi's have the strongest engine out of the lot, so could always get a nice MD turbo for it at a later date

Don't forget to swap the fuel pump. The stock one won't keep up even at low tuning levels.
Realistically you're looking at approx 325bhp from the above modifications.

Thereafter the stock VF30 tubocharger will be out of puff. You'll be looking at a turbocharger upgrade. Up to you what one you go for depending on your power targets.
The stock internals of a well cared for V7 STI will cope with 450/450 without issue, thereafter is pushing it.
To see those levels you'll be looking at Injectors, fuel press regulator, plugs, tubular headers, good quality induction kit and possible front mounted intercooler.

If I we're you I'd get a suitable size stock location turbo that will comfortably give you a genuine 400 of each. This makes for a very nice, useable road car.

Thanks lads for your help

I don't want to spend loads on mods at the minute but just wanted that bit more to take on the rs's and special edition white vxr's

so I'm gonna need a fuel pump, de-cat, filter and re-map. What pump and filter should I get and who should do the re-map?

Got the pump and air filter just need to get the car up in the air to see what down pipe I'll need cos it already has a cat back system on it and don't want to buy a new full system

How much does JGM charge for a re-map?

Call and talk to him. He's very approachable and will give you the best advise to get the most from your car. Expect to pay around £550 inc an EcuTek licence.

If you can afford to get the engine mounts and gearbox mounts uprated at the same time I would. Makes driving the power much more precise No point in flying past the RS's and ending up in the next hedge Have you done any other handling mods ?

Under a kick plate in the front passenger footwell, pull back the carpet and you will see it.

It's not the ecu that's the hold back for that power level. It'll be the fuel pump, turbo, injectors and stock exhaust.

Before you go for the power mods, get the ARB's on and some coilovers, you may not need the extra power.

Will completely transform how the car drives

Only one for consistently great scoobynet prices on Whiteline gear is Tim at Scoobyparts. Tim is really helpful and everything comes promptly, well packaged and is actually Whiteline

http://www.scoobyparts.com/acatalog/Whiteline.html

If you want something that's not on the website give him a ring and he usually has it in stock or available direct.
