Default just had my bubble well and truely burst!!!!!

Just had the chance to drive my dream car since 1993, my mate's imperial blue big turbo 340bhp esc cos, and well.............................................. .......
what a total let down wish i had'nt bothered now got out of the car totaly deflaited(sp)

made the scoob seam a far superior car and in pretty much standard spec pull alot stronger and harder than the escort!!!

oh well back to my original dream car........................... 3dr cossy

is 340 bhp different on older cars think your wrong tho as older cars are alot rawer than modern day car's and i'm comparing it to my classic

A 340bhp Escort Cossie will be laggy as hell (was that the problem?), doubt your scoob is laggy + it's probably lighter isn't it? Didn't mean to slag your dream car, sorry

na your cool fella the car did that yeah did feel really laggy but almost had to ring its neck to go??? but just seamed hard work to get it to go unlike my classic?? just was'nt what i was expecting, perhaps i should have a go in a few more to get a better idea

drove a monte carlo ecos last year and run out of road before it boosted properly....

was a ford heritage car, so nothing wrong with it !

the 3 dr sierra cos was a different animal though !!

I did say the escort wasnt as nice to drive.

You say it was 340bhp? what spec was it and who set it up? A proper 340bhp car will deffo not feel laggy and hard to use.

thats for sure, took my mates 385 3 door out, lets just say addrenalin is brown

that thing just took off and scared the crap out of me

having drove plenty! i garentee your mates car is "ive added these mods so it must be 340" i.e stage 3 mods greens, 3 bar ect.. which i can tell you your looking more 300

not 100% sure on set up as he bought it like it, think its got the T34 turbo??? a different set of injectors and a re map, he took it to a RR day at reyland last year and think it had 347 on the rollers, might just need a good set up is surpose it could be how it was mapped!!!

you could be right there stu i did wonder what the knocking was under the bonnet must of been the mole grips clamping the actuator pipe knocking against somthing
