At the moment, I can't be arsed with my scooby - just fed up with it at the mo, so have been looking for a cheap run about and found a tidy N reg Escort 1.8 Ghia X for £300 - went on go compare and they want more to insure that on third party fire and theft cover than my STI with fully comp cover!!!

They wouldn't offer breakdown recovery for mine though because "it's too old"...
Getting insurance for your second car is an almighty nightmare and suddenly you get all sorts of rubbish coming up like... "here is the most wonderful all singing all dancing quote in the world for you..." "taking into account all the mods?" "ha! no sorry ma'm, we can't insure a second car with all those mods..." WTF?!

From: Daily drive is a Scoob again - just what it should be!
Had a similar problem when I got the Scoob - 2 cars - one no claims bonus!
Priviledge have come up best for me as they 'mirror' the NCB on your second car - and by doing this were by far the cheapest!
Oh, and you don't have to be posh to use priviledge!!

Had a little think today, and by the time I bought the car, paid the insurance etc etc I'll be worse off.
My brother works with me, so we take it in turns to drive each week so has cut my fuel bill by half
Just treated the Scoob to some gauges to cheer myself up
