Dave Bullen's ( Ex Mencap ) Classic 4 Heroes Motor Tour - Sun 3rd October
2010 heralds the inaugural edition of the Classic 4 Heroes Motor tour for Classic and Cherished Motor Vehicles; the event is to raise Funds and Awareness in support of Help for Heroes
The event will take place on October 3rd 2010, based in and around Swindon.
The route will consist of approximately 120 miles by dedicated Road Book; the Start will be just off junction 16 M4 courtesy of Studley Grange, and the Finish at Wroughton Air Field, courtesy of Swindon Karting F1.
Classics 4 Heroes is brought to you by the same team that presented the Mencap Classic for so many years, this year we have adopted one of the most deserving Charities, we also hope this event will become an annual event and possibly National.
The Start Just off Junction 16 of the M4 Motorway at Studley Grange Butterfly World & Craft Village, all day breakfast, tea, coffee and much more will be available, for those participants wishing to avail themselves. Entrants will be flagged away from the start by the Mayoress of Wooton Bassett, and Wing Commander Rich Leggett.*
The Route Road book with full instructions will take your along your road of discovery, a Souvenir Rally Plate for you to attach to your car, and a small memorable gift from the organisers for you and your navigator. Participants will journey through some of the most beautiful countryside Wiltshire has to offer, past some of the Nations most prestigious Equine establishments, historic land marks, and even into Lyneham Air* Base for a unique photo opportunity. Plenty of time is allowed for you to partake in either a local establishment for lunch or even picnic by the side of the Kennet & Avon Canal.
The Finish is located on the Historic Wroughton Air Field, at the Actiondrome Swindon Karting F1, one of the largest indoor karting circuits in the country, where well deserved refreshments will be available, hot or cold in the restaurant, participants may even wish to try there hand at racing the superb karts on offer#.
As this event has some special features, the entry is limited to one hundred vehicles, so enter now to avoid disappointment, and join us to raise well needed funds for our brave Service Men & Women whilst enjoying yourself with your cherished vehicle.
For further information and entry form email or phone Dave Bullen 01458 251806
*This venue and access is subject to withdrawal at any time due to operational difficulties.
# Participants wishing to race Karts should book direct with Swindon Karting prior to arrival by telephoning 01793 814340

Yep thought that you maybe I'm still working on Mrs ESC , The 120 mile & route book don't go down to well as you know , it was bad enough on the country lanes in the scoob let alone in the very lively RS !!!
Still the mention of a few bottles of wine & meal out on the Saturday maybe swinging her round It just a shame that this years event will not be a 2 dayer , but Dave's promises me that next years event will definitely be along the lines of the previous men-cap rally tours , it just a shame that this is so far for a 1 day event , but head down on Saturday lunchtime & it starts to sound a little more enjoyable
Most defiantly mate , believe me this event is write up your street believe me **** being your navigator !!
Think we need a little more discussion on this one , but feel that we must try & support Dave in this event

I know where there's a once-cherished now-forgotten Scoob you could take!
Would there be room for a 'newby' then in a Scooby, not a Classic, but much cherished!!
Oh, and what a fantastic cause!

"The Road book with full instructions will take your along your road of discovery."
Well it's meant to be a scenic "Steady Eddy" drive through the countryside taking in the views & cultural heritage.
Tiny's navigator may beg to differ.
Oh & we usually end up in a farm yard or two. The sheep end up more scared than we do though.
