just thought i'd put some pic's up of what i made my dad for his birthday last year now i know how to add pic's

it's a replica of his old rallycross car hope you like

i cheat tho i just buy the die cast one's and change them lol

I`ll bet your Dad was well chuffed though. Much better than a picture and something with a personal touch.

Brilliant.

I have 2 mk2 kits, a Zakspeed and an RS2000 that I've been waiting to assemble, bought them in 1987! Almost paid someone to do them for me a couple of years ago. Also a 1992 Williams F1.

i start the proper model kits but then loose interest and end up loosing bits

going to do him a white 3.2 carrera this year as you can't get them, well only from porsche so got to buy a black one and paint that!!

Nicely done.

What's your dad's name? I would have seen him race.

Did he drive any other cars?

Have looked through some old pics I took back in the 80's but couldn't find any of his Mk2 but did find a shot of the car behind him in your pic....

i just had to ring my dad as i thought that was his car before he bought it, but it was'nt lol it was orange and blue when he got it, when he bought it out it was all white, then a while later he added the blue then a while after that he added the red, then 2 meetings after he sold it, it come to a nasty end involving mabs bank then was reshelled into a rwd mk3 escort

he also had a mk1 bubble arch escort in dark navy blue with a white stripe down the side which he started out in rallycross in
