I'd be tempted to make that wagon a sleeper. Stick a wrx or wrx engine and drivetrain in it with a front mount and equal length headers to loose the burble, then go and embarase a few people

I think the rear arches like that could work really well.

ABW.....
I think the 22b look is really good but i would go just a bit wider than that. I've seen your widebody kit for the classic wagon and that looks awesome.
I have a bugeye wagon that would benefit from a widebody kit to hide some 12" wide 18" rims under the arches in the near future when it's lowered. I'd be keen to have a look at that. I've always fancied a look like the old German/Dutch touring car racers like the big **** merc and volvo estates of old. I think the bugeye wagon would lend itself very well to that. Flared qtr panels, box arch type design with meshing for brake and rear mounted radiator cooling. Same for the front arches with a moulded widebody bumper so it looks like it's about to scoop up the road, ready for FMIC, built in extreme canards and proper racing lip spoiler. Real oldskool look.
Also for a rear spoiler something like the WRC multi finned tea tray but made to fit the angle of the rear hatch with the top of it inline with the roof rather than a roof type spoiler like it has now.
Just thinking out loud...this is my wish list.
