ESC 2010 CALENDER
despite reminders, the deadline for getting the pictures to
my printer has passed. I needed them with them by today
to guarantee getting the calenders back for Christmas .
The lack of interest in purchasing calenders (only 25) including
our 4 was also not enough to cover costs, let alone produce a
donation to The Essex Air Ambulance.
The 5 people who paid for them will of
course receive full refunds

That's a shame. It was going to be a great calendar. I know I'm guilty of not paying yet, just forgot. Sorry about that. Who were we waiting on the photos from? I've got the Beesti image that we could use for one month. I'm sure we could come up with a couple more pics to fill the others. How many do we need to sell to cover the cost?

sorry to hear this. i would have done another one had i had time
i might however do a colour profile book, with members cars and specifications early next year, as my pursuit into professional photography (yes, another string to the bow)
details will be up around christmas time for this project.
im the mesantime if anyone wants any car pics / family portraits / events, i am doing them just to cover my expenses and gain the necessary experience, so please let me know.
thanks all

Sorry George, didn't realise you were desperate for the money up front - if you'd said I could have sent a cheque. Was anticipating sending one to include postage when they were available.
Firemen for Jess.
I'll fight her for that one!!
This will do for me
You're old enough to be her father!! And she cannae speek proper!!
That'll go on Coz's Christmas list then!!
Mine? I think you may have seen it already - Team ESC!!

professional calender, not a 'vista print quickie', hence high res images
were required & we needed some form of commitment.
My company would have taken the chance IF it looked like we had a
chance of breaking even.- about 50 calenders.
The whole idea was Sam & Andys to raise money for the Essex Air Ambulance;
as that was not going to happen with the response we got there was no point
orderring them last week just for the sake of it.
I mulled it over while I was away, and made the decision myself this morning after
speaking to the printing company.
Thank you to those that did supply pics of scoobs, & to those that turned up
at the photo shoot, also to matt for his efforts in getting some decent images
As for payment, I rarely have to ask anyone for karting money, it just appears
in my bank with a pm letting me know .. I rarely go to a meet where someone
doesn't hand over cash as well
When people have to be chased for money the event usually flops anyway.

George - why don't we organise a quick vista print jobbie for those that have paid? If they wish of course. Then put this into production full scale official SIDC calendar, not just ESC, for 2011? I'm sure Phil will sell the calendar in the SIDC shop and a portion can go to charity if we work it into the cost. The same as the CM and RB stickers the other year. That way we should easily get the 50 calendars we'd need. It was a cracking idea to raise a few quid for the EAA

The lack of interest in purchasing calenders (only 25) including

The 5 people who paid for them will of
course receive full refunds

Matt, would love to see your final of that shot, and a copy would be very much appreciated.

That's a shame George, I rarely use a calender as a rule, and my purchase was more for the EAA than the actual calender, please forward my money paid to them, and if you decide to make a go of it later for 2011, then I will be happy to donate again, to a very worthy coarse
