Cool Button World Champion

Congratulations to Jenson Button for finally getting the title

For those that don't normally watch F1, you should watch the highlights on BBC 3 tonight at 7pm.

What a cracking entertaining race from start to finish.

I don't think Lewis is going to be popular in Brazil tonight though

Fantastic result.

Wrapped up with a race to go, which is quicker than recent years, ballsy overtaking, all season, most wins. Hopefully fools that have suggested he did not deserve it will eat their words.

Met Jenson and his dad a few times when I was karting, always nice people and always stood out above the rest.

Well done Jenson

Jenson will be at Bluewater Tuesday - think it might be a bit busu lol

"The Virgin Media event will be taking place on Tuesday 20th October at the Bluewater shopping mall in Kent. This date falls within half term and is also being heavily PR-ed in the week building up to the event therefore we estimate that there will be a footfall of approximately 85,000 on the day of the event There will be many press features and also we have tied up with Absolute Radio who will be promoting the day prior to the event, and they will also be present on the day.

The shopping mall opens at 9am on the day of the event. However, Jenson will be present for 6 hours - arriving at midday, leaving at 6pm. There is a track surrounding Bluewater which is approx 1 mile. Jenson will show off his skills to the public in a Merc AMV 63, and will also give rides to the Absolute radio presenters and competition winners. This will all be recorded via in-car cameras which will then be posted on the internet. Interviews, photocalls etc will also be taking place on the day."

and what about the Brawn Team Members who pulled out the Fuel Hose from the Mclaren to get it going again
Would any other team have done that?

Well mentioned

That was an astonishing show of sportsmanship. I don`t believe there was any tactical decision in helping him. Just needed doing and was done, FANTASTIC as Murray would say.

Flames came up round his hands on the steering wheel. Shows the fireproof gear comes in handy at times.

It could have been much worse, fuel actually got in his helmet and into his eyes!
For years they have banged on about safety, and I never could understand how re-fueling could have been re-introduced. Thank **** its gone from next year.
