Having to use a clutch to change gear is a new idea, not sure it will be quicker but time will tell.
Traction and stability control make no real difference if it's switched on or off. Much less noticeable than in Forza 2.
Damage has been reduced in my opinion. Sure you can roll the car now but the damage appears (in the demo at least) to have appeased the manufacturers.
RB5 and I were saying last night that it seems much less like a simulator and much more friendly to the beginners. Autobrake and rewind function for instance.
Autobrake is a joke. A not very funny joke at that. A bit like a knock knock joke by your favourite aunt whose forgotten the punchline and then coughs phlegm in your face while thinking of it.
Re-wind has no place on a simulator. End of story.
The graphics are staggeringly good, mind blowing how real they look to be honest.
The online play promises some entertaining nights in. Cat & mouse games, drag racing and team drifting.
Of course I will get it but felt a bit disappointed last night.
I'd still like to see qualification for the races, the track is very narrow and it would be good to be able to improve your grid position. Particularly when the AI on hard is driven by psycopaths.

i'm sure that as in FM2 we can lock the assists in the full game and the manual w/clutch option is directed at the new FM3 (& other) steering wheel controllers that have the 3 pedals but the clutch one has always been left ignored, I dont think that this setting bears any advantage over manual only.
no ABS is just like FM2 and i found that TC off left plenty of drifting fun, however, i never drive with any assists on FM2 so any of them on will feel weird to me.
the track is pretty awesome and the sectioned off track areas look to make fun alternatives.
I am holding my judgement until the real game is played as you dont know wha they have coded in on this demo (i.e. make it too hard to play and everyone gives up right away)
customisation and tuning is 50% of FM2 and I'm gutted they never gave you an insight into the new platform for this side of FM3.
