Project Fiesta
#7
The car is my little brother Chris's and it's a 1.25 Zetec.
I bought the kit for him last Christmas - another Fleabay bargain which is a genuine Mk 3 Fiesta RS Turbo bodykit.
After trial fitting the kit, we found that the rear arches and skirts fits the Mk4 nicely but the front arches needed to have 3 inches cut out so the arch fits above the bumper properly.
Last week, the Festa failed the MOT as it required a lot of welding. When I looked under the car, there's loads of surface rust so initially the plan was to clean up the under side of the car, treat and paint it with fresh underseal ready for the winter. Then we decided it was about time to "Pimp my (brother's) ride"
Phase 1:
Before pics:
The bog standard bear bumpers won't do the car any favours at all so they were cleaned up with thinners ready for painting. The lighta and wheels were masked up to try and save time as the plan is to get the car finished this weekend.
First off, the bumpers had 2 coats of plastic primer, the 2 coats of red high build primer, 3 coats of metallic Pepper red and 3 coats of clear lacquer:
Phase 1 complete:
I'm nowhere near as talented as Dal and Rob @ ABW, but considering I used spray cans, I'm over the moon with the results so far!
Phase 2:
The kit - being filled then primed ready for fitting:
To be concluded tomorrow.

I'm not sure I'm brave enough for that mate, an old Fiesta is one thing but an Evo is something else!!
The plan was to tidy the car up mate, Chris isn't worried about performance mods though he's looking at buying a Fiesta ST in the future if the job he's gone for comes off.
Thanks for the comments I'd like to spend more time to get the kit fitting better, but he's over the moon with the car so I'll leave it upto him!
