hello peeps, i have been looking at the MD555, and have been speaking to turbodynamics about it... but i need to shed some more info on this turbo...... does anybody run one of these?? i have a 2.0 sti 2003, would it have much lag?? can anyone help.

The most important thing when buying a turbo is matching it to your state of tune. I have no doubt that 99% of turbos kick **** on the right car at the right state of tune including the MD555. For your car go and buy a TD05 18g, enjoy the car properly now and worry about more later mate ! Lesson learnt with the last one, low down grunt is where it's at mate

Agree with Stu. My old RA was running 280/270 and had a td05 16g (never mapped ). Dad's wagon (clutch fitted by Mr C so you probably saw it) runs 270/280 on a td04. Even with the short ratio box on the RA Dad's wagon was / is quicker. When you get it mapped get it mapped for torque rather than bhp.
But even Dad admitted that my STi feels quicker than his wagon. VF has quicker spool up not as strong as the td range though.
