done it...whaoooo
myself and dan completed the 60 miles today
couple of little incidents.
1) Dan decided it would much more fun to slide down the road on his ar53 instead of ride his bike!!!! luckily the car coming the other way stopped in time so no major damage done.
2) i had a puncture and then realised even though i had a spare inner tube, no pump!!! luckily though one of the other riders stopped with a pump
not sure of the exact time, but think it was around 6 hours, which in all honesty, seeing as this is the first time Dan or myself have tried this distance, we are both happy with. the first 50 odd miles flew by, but the last few felt like i was towing a tractor!!!!! God my legs ache!!!! lol
I'm off on holiday for a week now, so those that kindly offered sponsorship i will be in contact when i get back.
Cheers all.
Spally & Dan.

WELL DONE BOTH OF YOU!!!!!!!
In my calculations it was 5 and a half hours including two stops......
Think the fact dan had several pairs of padded undies on helped his **** escape any damage!!

Paul 5 Hours 30 Mins including 2 stops and 2 puncture stops......pretty good I think...
Lookin` at that pic compared to the one during the 20 Miler....my Belly is def smaller than it was, mind I have dropped 15lbs since then
Yeah my little incident..too fast on outside on a slippy shiny country lane..heard the Audi beep so I dabbed front brake , hhmmmm front wheel just vanished under me...no wobble nothing...off I came and luckily on my back and slid behind bike which just hit the front of the Audi and I stopped just shy...layed in road waiting for the pain...especially when the guy that helped came over and asked if I had broken anything....luckily just my pride .....very lucky to be able to get up and carry on and a big to Mr Audi , no fuss and did not even seem to bothered about front of his car, unlike me.....
When the bloke asked on the mic as we crossed the line.... " Oh another Bianchi...how would you describe the colour of your Bike?" to which I replied " Scratched, as I had an off !" as we rode on
Next time I am gonna fit a comfy saddle tho as 60 Miles on a Mach III Razor is not fun
Well done Paul and now I have had a bath I am gonna rest my very red sore bum

Well Done guys
I have literally signed up this evening for this :-
Southend Bikeathon
I am doing the 26mile course .... So nothing in comparison to what you have done
Am also looking to do :-
Foulness Bike Ride 2009
23 miles, and you cannot usually get onto Foulness
If anyone else is up for the above, visit the websites

As said, I'm all registered for the Southend Bikeathon, only £8 entry
I may also have to do the Foulness one as well, the other halfs mum will hopefully have moved by then, and she will be living right near the entrance gates in one of the cottages.
Went out a couple of days ago and found myself riding through marshes ..... Ended up turning round once I had reached the slippery mud. Was a little ride from mine in Southend through Ashingdon and down into Hullbridge and then back. only a 25 mile round trip.
Anyone up for Thorndon on Sunday evening, I'll be getting there for around 7.30 pm
