Default It's official

My STI is the quietest scoob in Essex!!

Confirmed by the Spec'c's tonight as they didn't hear me pull up on their drive tonight!!

The exhaust is a 3" system, but one piece with 2 silencers in the mid section.

Spoke to Ian at Hayward and Scott today and it's booked in Saturday week to have the silencers removed

Thanks for te sidelight Steve

I bet it is matey!!

Earlier today, Steve didn't even hear me pull into a carpark, and he was standing 20 feet away behind a van!!

The funny thing is that it tries to pop and bang, but because it's sooo muffled, it sounds like a little botty burp!!

Hopefully will put on the headers this week, get a downpipe and should sound like a proper scoob

The headers I put on my first scoob were good - HKS replica, the welds were spot on and very well made, managed to get them for £175 on fleabay, perfect fit AND the car kept the burble!!

Apparently, the exhaust on mine is for a new age

I'm sure Scatrat said that one of the guys at Mr Clutch wanted the exhaust, but it wouldn't fit on his classic - Don't honestly know how true it is though

tom all you need is to get it mapped mate, realise how much more driveable it is with the mods you have done.

The poor ol' thing looked like a "barn-find" when I saw it last week!

You had better get on with it soon before the RSPCA stop you from moving it due to the amount of wildlife living in it!!!

that thing is DEAD quiet when running. couldnt believe we were standing by the back door which was open, we hear scoobs going down the high road, just not the stealth mobile pulling on the drive.
Then earlier i never heard him pull into a carpark some 20 foot away. shocking..... glad it will be sorted.

If it's that restricted you may get a bit more performance from it once sorted as well

A guy I know through a mate runs an exhaust place over at crays hill - 4 Xtreme. Go in and ask for Steve. He should be able to sort you out. He'd probably do the work at a very reasonable price too.

Yup Steve likes 'em loud. Might be worth trying him to see if he's got a centre section down there that he'll do a deal on.
