Default MOT Failure AGAIN!!

Just replaced the centre cat as the emissions were at 8, but this time dropped to 2.14.
My old cat had nothing inside, so obviously knackered.
Lambda sensors ok, the bloke reckons the front cat need looking at.

Any idea's??

Scotty.

Have heard good reports of the twin cat centre section.

And there is a MOT station not far from Xtreme.

I think you're right, the MOT station has got to be with in a reasonable distance

To be honest, after changing the cat, the emission figures went right down. To get it done to the required limit, someone suggested putting some cleaner stuff in the fuel and ragging the car for abit??

What do ya think??

worth a try.

I know the cats have got to be hot before they're fully effective.

A few years ago, I helped Hayward and Scott test their 100 cell sports cat and it prooved to be a bit of a bugger to pass the emissions, had to drive round the estate a few time to get it hot before it passed the emissions test

Had the same with mine this last MOT. As the Stealth Wagon had been standing for a few months the 100 cell sports cat must have furred up a bit. It needed a good 20-30 mile run to freshen it up before passing.

If you mean mine then no because it still had 3 weeks ticket.

If you mean Scotty then yes but "It was the Sat Nav's fault officer".

Very good - though you have an advantage today, as I was force fed copious amounts of vino last night, and haven't quite slept it off yet!!
