Default 8-45am Monday morning

What will you be doing?

On your way to work, already at work?

Dropping the kids off to school?

Putting the kettle on for a quick cuppa?

Well think of me will you, I'll be having this (again)......

I've had an eye infection for a week now and been to the hospital 3 times. Nice of them to tell me in advance what they are going to be doing isn't it

My treatment regims so far has been to put drops (that sting like a stingy thing) every 60 minutes, even through the night. I'm shattered

Oh well bring it on.....

That reminds me, did I tell you about my op's last year....

Went from -19 & -18.5 (v v short sighted) to 20 / 20 vision.

Had the lenses in my eyes removed & 'bionic' ones fitted.

Was awake throughout both ops (about an hour & 15 minutes each).

Due to being sooooo short sighted I saw everything from the scapple making the first cut to the removal of the lense................oh & the stitches afterwards!

Can go into more details when I see you next!

Oh, hope the infection gets better really soon - and you get some sleep

Good luck mate, looks horrid, but considering what you have already been through that's pretty tame.
Good job we have already proved your indestructible.

I'm -1.75 -2.00!!! I don't mind putting contact lenses in, but the thought of them making an incision in the lens for the laser to correct the retina and stitched afterwards totally put me off, makes me queasy just thinking of it

Thanks everyone, it's testing my tolerance at the moment and to be frank I'm quite looking forward to it. The pain should go pretty quickly once its been injected.

So are you going for the botox in the eyeballs?

Or just getting your lashes tinted?

Anything to do with eyes always feels twice as painful or twice as big when you have something in your eye. I got a bit of corn husk, of all things, in my eye when riding my Norton without goggles one summer. It sort of glued itself to my cornea with the moisture from my tears. I had to have some freeze spray squirted in & then the opthalmist scraped it off with a needle. Needless to say I made sure I wore my goggles after that.

Good luck with your 8.45 appointment. Bit of an early one for you though.
