This area is getting really bad now for car thefts. I used to live with my parents in Harold Hill until I got a flat nearly 3 years ago. Bought my Scooby new in 2002 and it lived outside on the drive until I moved out.
It never got touched once and it was in full view of the A12!
Costco's at Lakeside used to do the Disklocks, and they were much cheaper than Halfrauds. Not sure if they still do them, I haven't been in there for ages but remember them being around £45 when Halfrauds done them for £80!
Only an idea, but the connections on the coil-packs are really easy to disconnect, no spark, no engine

Hopefully my Scooby is safe for the following reasons;
1) We don't live in Harold Hill
2) It's parked in a locked garage
3) The garage is alarmed
4) There is a one & a half ton mini digger in front of the garage
5) There is a fully alarmed Mitsubishi Animal in front of the digger
6) The keys are in a safe somehere in the house
..........................maybe I ought to buy a disklock?

discloc is a good investment a friend of ours locked herself out of a 55plate fiesta and we had to call a locksmith . he was in it in less that 30 seconds using a adjustable barrel lock . just out of curiosity i gave him my discloc and said could you get in than he said maybe but it would take about 5hours it has 15 million combinations according to him . the only way to remove in a hurry would be a cordless angle grinder . needless to say mine goes on every night along with alarm and fuel cut switch pikies

Everyone loves a smart ar$e don't they
Maybe it's just because scumbags don't want to work for a living rather than living in Harold hill being the main problem.

It was my scooby they tryed to nick that night, that kev's on about.
F*cken bast*rds, cuz they couldnt get it started they decided to kick fu*k out of it.
Now ive had a break in and now ive had my keys stolen, hence the reason ive put various add requesting new barrells.
And if i can find someone to re-program my toad alarm,it will only be a matter of time before my little beut is gone ofther wise.
Harold hill has always had problems with car crime, alot like alot of built up area's of essex, jelous little c*nts
My mate had his carrera nick a couple of months ago,and that was in an alarmed garage, with a van parked in front of the door and right out side his house.
They moved the van, some how fu*ked the alarm, took the porche out, then shut the garage, put the van back and they went.

Got it from argos £70 but you can order from disklok, direct on the net for the same price with free delivery and a free storage bag (which I didn't get from argos)

Remember back in the 90's The Hill was the wrong place if you had a nice car, most of them found burnt out over the Manor or around the back of the factories down Farringdon Ave,lets hope its not going that way again, maybe its time to move on

don't know about that only moved here late 96, but I moved from a flat in Manor Park and didn't know if the car was going to be there or how many windows it would have. Never felt like that since moving.
What I will say is that as soon as you think about moving, change cars, not want to have nice things, basically do anything different to how you normally would live, that is the moment the filthy theiving scum have won.
I for one will be more cautious but it isn't going to stop me popping and banging everywhere not going to stop me getting new alloys and all those types of things cos I for one won't let them animals alter my way of life.
Rant over
oh by the way my replacement rims are progressing nicely
