Million wouldn't be anywhere near enough to do anything really worth while and dramatically life changing imo. To pay off my existing mortgage I'd need around £120k. Then to sell that house and buy something much better would cost a further £300k. (a lot of difference for 2 extra bedrooms and a garage!) By the time I'd gifted a couple of £k out to family and bought a brand new but everyday car - new m3 and gone on a decent holiday, I'd be left with about £350 - £400k. Personally I wouldn't pay out anymore and put it an account to pay for Samuel as he grows up. Kids these days cost their parents a fortune! wouldn't be without him though

Would have to be a nice 3-4 bedroom house, a Porsche, and a really nice long holiday. Stick the rest away in premium bonds or something safe like that.

with share prices where they are at the moment, LOW, you invest wisely 12 months may be a bit short but certainly 24months will see a nice return....as long as you know what you are doing

I'd live for today! That means spend, spend & spend some more!
Mortgage already paid off, and no debts to speak of (not that I know about anyway!!)
Would sort a couple of friends out with a good holiday, but the family (most of them) could get lost!
Would make sure Coz had a nice little nest egg - not too much mind!
The one thing I wouldn't do is part with my Scooby - I love it too much, though I might have to buy Ark a car or two.
Basically I would enjoy it until it was all gone - after all you can't take it with you!
Oh, and a couple of really good holidays including going back to Cuba!
I wouldn't bank any of it - I think it would be better off under the mattress at the moment.
Where do I collect it from Mrs B4?

Buy a house and furnish and decorate. Nothing flash just to suit our needs.
Put money aside for the kids futures.
Make a savings account.
Then a long deserved holiday.
Hopefully would have enough to help me Mum out and my bruv and sis who have Muscular Distrophy.
