It will be okay but at the very minimum i would upgrade the rear pads to something a little more aggressive.

Pagid RS29 and Ferodo DS3000 work well.

Dont bother with the DS2500 theyre toss from my experience.

Reds do that, theyre a poor quality pad from what ive seen and tend to chew the discs alot. The EBC yellows are better and wont kill the discs half as much.

What kind of driving do you do and how hard are you on your brakes. I only ask as you may not even need the AP setup. There are some great Disc/Pad setups out there that will offer 90% of the performance at a fraction of the cost.

They will also be much much better than your stock setup with just the reds.

One eye,

You are more than welcome to have a ride in mine, I fitted the STi Brembo front kit to mine, and the difference over the standard 4 pots is amazing.

Worth considering.

If you like the look and have the money then thats your call mate.

However APs are way overkill if you do not give your current brakes absolute death. Also if youre only a light braker, chances are you wont get the APs hot enough to work properly and you will end up with glazed and squeeling pads.

Tidy scoob there fella

If it were me I would be looking at a good set of second hand Brembos. You can get nearly new for £550+ mostly off Hawkeyes that are being upgraded from new.

I don't know if rossi sold his red ones but they would look good under those turinis I will try and find the link.

From your description of how you use the brakes, the set up on Nates car would be ideal. And when fitted with performance friction discs and pads they offer fantastic braking. Zak @ Mocom and Dynamix both ran them in Time Attack last year.

AP's complete waste of money and overkill for your application.
If your going for looks then all well and good, but as Frays says if your looking for better braking then just upgrade the pads as a minimum (EBC not good). And possibly go for the whole disc and brake upgrade. Performance friction are meant to be good. But Pagid RS29's are my choice of pad for the road and Alyn @AS Performance is the man to sort you out with a good price and quick delivery.

Ksport like the AP are overkill for road use, other than to add some bling....
A decent disc and pad set up is sufficient to stop brake fade on the road. TBH it's good enough to stop brake fade on most track day applications. Only when you start to get more track orientated and really pushing the car to it's limits is a BIG brake kit really worth the money.

P.S. That said, nothing wrong with Ksport kit, was used by several TA cars last year with good results...
Just a little more race heritage with the AP's...

Have no experience with them but look at it this way.

How available are spares and pads for them?
What pad compounds are available in the Tar:Ox fitment?
How many race cars do you see running Tar:Ox products?

Now ask yourself those questions in mind of AP and Brembo?

Yep it is slow, but I suspect it is not as slow as a certain BMW

And Slowamber, this thread is about uprating brakes, not for Miss Daisy's who think standards are just fine

Jimlad has them on the front of his classic WRX and they are okay but they are not a massive improvement for the money unless you really use them hard as they work much better when they are hot and you do have to brake hard to get them to really work but when you do they work well.

I had AP 4 pots on mine and I thought they were better for every day driving then the Tarox 6 pots and that was even with me driving like miss daisy
