Well after all ..... "Harry is a homer !!"
LOL Thought i would just share this one with you all 
, Many of the visitors here to ESC HQ In the summer would of noticed our new addition to the family , Harry the racing pigeon .
Harry arrived back in June 2008 he was ringed with his own special number & the telephone number of his keeper , Within a month of him being here he was hand tame & regularly feeding from the palm of my hand .
I thought that it maybe best to contact his owner to make sure that he had not lost one of his most prized assets & a top racer , So i rang the number on his ring & the owner informed me that he was only a 1 year old pigeon & that he had gone AWOL on his maiden flight all the way from Maidstone Kent !!
Now the owner was not to impressed & asked if i would mind keeping him as he was not going to be any good to him if he failed to return to his loft on his first flight , i agreed & said that yes , OK i keep the fan tail doves I'm sure a racing pigeon would be OK as long as he never got loved up with one of our doves , all through the summer things were good , the last few cold months they all have survived , But Monday night i had noticed
That ole Harry had now shackled up with my best Hen, very cosy together they looked in the coot !! 
Right i thought with the breeding season fast approaching I'm going to have mutant Grey & white fantail / Pigeon cross doves
Anyway to cut a rather long story short ................
Tuesday evening i removed Harry from the coot , boxed him up & left him in the garage over night , Wednesdasy morning he's loaded into the van & taken down to Frinton were I'm working , Gets there @ 7-AM there's loads of other pigeons in the vicinity , so there's me thinking ole Harry will soon be there with his new Frinton mates, he heads straight up onto the school roof
Me thinks
that's that sorted then
2 Hours later , Mrs ESC texts me ........................................
"HARRYS BACK !! "
I get home Wednesday night , down to the coot there he is snuggled up with the chief hen looking well smug with himself Now i feel rather attached to ole Harry but just know it wont be long before he banging out me best hen

PMSL - good ol' Harry! You should ring his previous owner and tell him the news that infact - he can find his way home............... just the wrong home eh

I can't begin to imagine what your going to be like with poor Courtney when she start's bringing strange men home,if the pigeon nestling close to your dove is anything to go by my sympathies lie with Courtney

It was bound to happen !!
Well Well Well !!
Just had a little stroll down the garden to feed the doves , Everyones about apart from ole Harry
Maybe he got the hint & flew away to pastures new
But .... NO NO NO !!
Where is he
He's only sitting on 2 newly laid eggs in the coot !!
