Remove Diesel??

I was carrying an amount of diesel in the back of the scoob at the weeked and the carry case thingy tipped over and its leaked all over the boot. The car will obviously need a new carpet lining etc in the boot (it was about 5-10 litres) but the stench is rather rancid (as I'm sure you can imagine) Is there anything I can do to a) absorb the remaining diesel b) stop it smelling and c) has anyone got an old boot liner LOL

spray with an all purpose cleaner (megs or poorboys apc). then wet vac out. there are some pretty good spray on deodourisers on the market too. will take a few goes but you'll get there
