Unhappy another question regarding air/fuel guage now

fitted the maf i brought from mike and that seems to have sorted some of the running problems out .

but has shown that there maybe another one .i have a air/fuel gauge fitted and when i turn the lights on it just goes off or shows that it is running lean ??

could this be a earthing problem ?? as it has been fitted to the car since i brought it over 5 years ago .

or what are others suggestions welcome .

and how many earthing points are there on the 95 wagon and rough placement so i can clean them just to tick it off the list

It could be a dodgy earth, and it's using the Lambda as an earthing point hence getting strange readings. Also, check fuses, one circuit maybe down and it's trying to pull current from another, maybe the lights.
Also if the gauge is using an aftermarket Lambda sensor, this could be the problem. On my old Scoob, I used aftermarket jobbies for my water injection control and they don't last very long.

Subaru's are negative earth, which means the chasis is connected to the -ve side of the battery. Scoobs have pretty bad earthing points and people do rectify this by using after market Oxygen Free Cable (OFC) earthing kits

I maybe wrong mate, but I don't think a Lambda can be cleaned as it's a pretty sensitive device.

No worries mate, ask away!
