Evo Owner dies
Very sad to read in tonights echo that the reason it took me bleeding ages to get to work yesterday morning was that an Evo crashed on the A127 killing driver and passenger
Don't know the lad In loving memory of Jamie Cummings R.I.P dude xxxx | Facebook but thoughts are with his friends and family

I see the car was reported as speeding, another reason for them to justify the Specs cameras going up on the A127.

Drove past the scene on my way home last night. From the state of the bushes/trees and the rubber left on the pavement, it was one hell of an impact after a roll.

Please read the Echo again, it states on FRONT COVER that a off duty police officer saw them SECONDS before the impact, this quoted from paper -
"An off duty police officer spotted the car and called police after becoming concerned about the way it was being driven, but as he made the call, the car came off the road"
Sorry all, but we all know what happens when we go mad at that time of night.

It's a real shame. Most of us slightly older drivers, will remember our younger driving days...fortunately most of us drove cars that started falling apart, if you tried going much over 70mph!
These lads were probably enjoying a blast down the road, with nothing around..who knows ,but we were all young once. And we don't know the facts. The evo is an extremely powerful car, I just hope, whatever happened was quick, and they didn't suffer.
Sympathy to family and friends.

Another tragic loss of young life, but as we all know when we drive fast foxes blowouts etc it's a probability it's fatal,it's the parent's I feel for no parent should have to bury their child

Sad loss
My personal opinion is that 20 year olds should'nt be driving 2-300 + bhp cars

Bibo, sorry just don't get the 20 year old comment. I drove cars of that power in my early 20's, and only 2wd. Frayz has been driving 300 + bhp for years and is still early 20's, and a certain L.Hamilton is pretty handy for a 20 year old.

Frayz Isn't your average 20 year old.... As for Lewis Hamilton, unfortunitly lot's of kids think they can drive as well as him.
All I'm saying is that look at the number of young people that have RTA's compared to 30 year olds?
If my son wanted to drive a fast car, I'd make sure he knew how to drive first.... even then I think I'd feel more at ease if he drove a small car everyday but had a track only car too.....

this is an interesting comment, but i believe i can do as much damage to someone in a 1.1 nova as in the scooby. and im more of the belief that a power powerful car is safer to drive.
IMHO of course....

Yes, very sad indeed..R.I.P, as said earlier in the thread, we've all had our moments at 'blowing the cob webs away' so to speak & it's always sad when you here of tradegies like this. Thoughts go out to the poor families.
