Engine mods
Well now i have the outside of car done, can anyone tell me what i can do to get more BHP out of my scoob, without spending too much money?
Looking at maybe a couple of hundred to start with, got to keep as cheap as possible until after crimbo, so only small mods to start with.

Nothing to increase your BHP can be done without mapping. So id save for a remap and add a filter and exhaust at the same time.
People will tell you that you can add a decat here blah blah there but your engine will more than likely det resulting ultimately in a blown motor and then a costly rebuild.
Do it properly or dont bother.
Keep you couple of hundred quid mate.

Best first mods to improve the car with no massive outlay would be uprated Anti Roll Bars and droplinks.
Might not make it faster but will improve the handling no end
IMHO

Induction kit will work but need map changes, panel filter will be fine without any map changes but wont see you any benefit until its mapped.
Roll bars, droplinks and geometry are a good start along with decent brake fluid, hoses and pads.
Proper tyres will transform the car too.

Not sure about the dump valve and flames, all noise and nothing else in return.
Had a dump on car a few weeks ago, took it off cos of all the whoooooshing and no increase in power etc.
Drive day sounds good, where and when?
Re-mapping is expensive isnt it?
Thanks fir all replys so far.....

Definitely, but if you want to get some training first in safety with no crash barriers to worry about and sand pits I'd book up a day with the driving god Andy Walsh over at North Weald Airport. Car Limits.com
You will learn more in a morning with him than you will ever learn by hammering around a track on your own.
