Prodrive was an option not a model...

There is not enough information to let you know what car you have with just a manufacturing year & how many doors it has & that it's UK sourced with possibly a Prodrive tweak.

What you need to check is the VIN plate under the bonnet. Provided it has not been molested it will tell you what your car is.

The 7 digit "applied model" code found on the vehicle identification plate inside the engine bay is decoded in the following way.

1. Series code G=Impreza S=Forester B=Legacy etc.
2. Body type F=Wagon C=Sedan
3. Engine type 8=2.0L Turbo
4. Year code A=MY93 ~ B=MY94 ~ C=MY95&96 ~ D=MY97 (facelift) ~ E=MY98 ~ F=MY99 ~ G=MY00
5. Number of doors 2=2 door coupe ~ 4=4 door saloon ~ 5=5 door wagon/hatch
6. Model type 8=WRX ~ 7=RA Type ~ E=Sti ~ D=Sti Type R & RA
7. Transmission D=5 Speed Manual AWD ~ P=4 Speed Automatic AWD

Which Car is a WRX or STi? CLICK to find out

Am I an anorak or what?

Looks like a Turbo 2000 going by:

I'm basing that on the aerial not being electric, and a sticking out bit on yout passenger window seal.

have to agree the pic certainly looks as though it's a UK turbo with the prodrive goodies added.

I also do colours.

Which colour do I have

UK Turbo / WRX Imports / STi Imports from 1993-2000

Reddish Blue 65C ~ 97 / 98.

Sonic Blue 74F ~ 98 / 98 / 99 / 00

Dark Blue Mica 52D ~ 96 / 97 / 98 / 99

Deep Blue Mica 95H ~ 00

Makes it a UK 98/99 WRX

Mark

When you click the link you'll see the way they did the chart it's a mix of UK Turbo / WRX Imports / STi Imports from 1993-2000. It shows the codes & years but not which models in which years.

As far as I was aware, the first UK WRX was on the Bugeye shape, all Claasic WRX's were imports.

I still think its a UK 2000.

Oops I meant WRX as opposed to STi.

The chart calls it UK Turbo but like you say it's a UK 2000.

It's blue with a tinge of red in it.

You need to see one then you would understand.

If it is a WR sport, it will have prodrive written on the logbook, and the seats will be fully electric with Recaro Prodrive written on them. If it is a WR sport, its a pretty rare car you have as not many were made(100).

I have not got the log book back. but it has the electric dark grey/black recaros, with phneumatic lumber support, wr sport spoilers, prodrive brakes, standard prodrive blow off valve, shirt shift, carbon momo prodrive gear ****, momo air bag steering wheel and the rest of the paper work states it is a wr sport, which would lead me to my original question.
what car have i got? wr sport would be the same as which model?
