Default Time to part company

Due to personal circumstances it's time for me to part company with the ra. It's not financial but the car is just putting a lot of stress on my relationship with the missus. At the end of the day i know which means more and it's not the ra.

So it's up for sale. Can be left as it is or i'll sling the interior back in and put it back to pretty much standard. Car will of course be fully detailed inside and out, engine bay etc.

£3950 as it is or £3200 with standard brakes, suspension, roll bars, droplinks, intercooler, interior put back in etc.

If i can get the right prices for the following, and i can sell them all, i'll take them off now:

comp brake pro race 7 with intermediate pads & 330mm 2 piece disc and bells. carbon look covering. cost me about £1100 brand new. been on the car for about 6 months or so. These are pretty much the same size as brembos and are a stonking set of brakes. - £650

Sti v5 intercooler converted for use on early classics, not mint but made a huge difference on mine. - £90

Whiteline front 22mm arb - fixed - £80

Whiteline rear 24mm arb - adjustable - £80

Whiteline front droplinks - steel not ally - £20

Whiteline rear droplinks - steel not ally - £20

3 point harnesses - £50

Can be had now:

autosport gauges with centre pod for early classic - £80

nismo 550cc injectors with loom nearly new - £200

fuel lab fpr in black bnib - £150

walbro 255 bnib - £70

dawes device - £20

all collection only please.

adjustable fuel pressure regulator. gives better atomisation of fuel through injectors and can help to run injectors a a little higher than their rating iirc. frayz?

forgot also have:

hayward and scott equal length headers. these cost about £700 new. in spot on condition and wrapped. will take £300 for them.

full 3" exhaust system. if anyone looking to upgrade from 2.5" i'd do a deal on your exhaust plus cash my way. system is miltek, not too loud, just right imo. paid about £600 for it just after i got the car.

Allows you to adjust the fuel pressure. This will not only allow you to run a bit more fuel flow through your stock injectors as Matt says it gives better atomisation of fuel due to the increse in pressure.

Also if you ever want to run a parallel setup.... you'll need one of these

I'm interested in the whiteline rear and front ARB's and drop links. I thought all front ARB's were adjustable? is it that all front ARB's are non adjustable and I got it confused?

How much for the lot? I'm in Clacton so not too far to come and collect.

you can get adjustable front arb and also fixed rear. depends what you want. i went for the whiteline recommended setup.

they've all got to be taken off of the car at the moment so will take a couple of days as no free time at the moment. £200 for the lot. not been on long. that's cheap. when i bought them along with alk i paid out about £450. won't be able to get the alk off though.

Hi Matt,

Damn shame it's going, esp with all the plans you were laying out for it. But understand your point of view...

Hope you're still about to buff us up and give advice.

All the best & good luck with the sale.
Ross

Sorry to hear ur sellin up but like you say somethings are more importent and i would do the same.

Quick question you say the v5 intercooler is adapted to fit early classics, so what mods would i need to do to my car to make it fit? (easy job? worth doin?)

Cheers Brad

you'd need to trim the throttel body down, i have a spare, to allow clearance of the bulkhead. also helps if you persuade the blukhead back a bit with a large-ish persuader then just a bit of fidling with you dv pipes.

yes it's worth doing as it'll be for more efficent than the slanty intercooler. only thing is boost may be increased so is an idea to fit a boost controller. i have a dawes device that can take care of this.
