i know i will have to drive slowly until i can fix it but its a bit late in the day to do anything other than a bogged job

please help asap

As Cookie says mate.

If it's the hose that goes to the intake pipe, then it's the exhaust valve from the solenoid, nothing major to worry about. As a temp fix, bung the intake pipe with a screw or something, to stop too much air going into the engine an leaning the mixture

It's plumbed into the intake pipe for compliance with emmission regulations. no other reason.

To map any of the 92-96 ECU's you will need the addition of an ESL board, this will then allow live mapping ala Autronic, Apexi, Simtek rather than the flash log stop analyse change flash log stop analyse change flash of the Newage ECU's.

You show a HKS boost controller in the pictures, is this being used ? This should have it's own solenoid making your Subaru solenoid redundant at the present time.

Wink

yep just went back out to the car and on the opposite side is a hks solenoid.and yep its being used

lol so other than plugging the hole where the old pipe was i wasn't to worry at all about that other solenoid

amazing the things ya learn from here .

a little more info i reckon .as it stands it has the HKS boost controller with three settings .off being .9 bar
on 1st setting is 1.2 bar (which i leave it on)
and alt which is running at 1.5 bar (tried a few times )
and a 3 or 5 second button which i have never pushed as i think 1.5 bar is high enough
it has what i think is called a double dump downpipe a straight through middle section and unkown back box and a h&s uppipe.also a k&n air filter

when i got this car it was then serviced by p,e and had a few rolling road print outs .so whats been done to the ecu i dont know .i have a old ecu also but was told that it was changed for the z4 one .hope that helps a little more

and it passed the mot too woohoo
