Default We Are Baffled Please Help

Its my ABS when i got the car it worked then over time its there sometimes and not others, the light has never come on to say anything is wrong, the light is there when you start the car, we have checked the fuses, and checked the relays, its had discs on the front and pads all round when its not there the peddle goes half way down and feels hard it is really puzzling us, plus scarey because you dont no when it will work or not any ideas please thanks

The peddle drops to approx half way down you say?

Because if so sounds like a wheel bearing.

When was the last time the brake fluid was changed?

If all the pads/disks were done at the same time, it's possible that you may have an air lock.

Depending on how bad the brakes were before hand, the level in the resevoir may of been too low.

That was also all ok when done ive had breaks with air in on other cars this feels diff its really doing my head in ive also has someone say about the sensors being clean everything is ok the light dosnt even flicker but thanks for the help

as speccy says above...sounds like pad knock off due to a wheel bearing issue??

Are all of the discs in good condition...both sides?

I had two new ones put on the front and pads all round everything was ok its just weard how the light dosnt come on to let me no i will have to get all the bits checked again
