Default Noooooooooo!!!!! - XBOX has died

After playing up a bit lately it has now given up completely

Not got the RROD though, powers up just doesn't do anything else, no picture no start up screen doesn't even recognise any discs.

Plus can't fine the receipt so does anyone know where I can get it fixed?

Might have to double the numbers of the PS3 crew and buy one to keep me going.

You don't need a receipt mate, just go to the xbox webpage and either book it online or phone them up. Bibo has the ESC box at the moment

Probably a dust build up, seeing as I've never seen you online.

Cornelius has had one apart, and fixed it.

dave,
take out all the cables, bar the power cable and remove the hard drive from the side.
wrap the thing up in 2 towels....

turn it on and leave it for 20 - 25 mins.

then pull the power cable out and unwrap it
leave for 20 mins to cool and give it a try.

if you then get a rrod, you can get it fixed under warranty (no need for reciept)

You sure? did you tell them it was the RROD. They extended the warranty on these indefinitely for this problem... try ringing again and speaking to someone else.

It's not RROD, something else, I was debating just lying to them and saying it was RROD

30 day thing doesn't matter if it's faulty phil but yes not too clever if you get caught out when they check the serial number on the machine matches the box and they're inventory. had people try it when i worked in a store that sold various electrial items. should see they're face when you tell them to leave before you call the police

they have all the information they need from people playing online.... believe me...
i think they count how many tire walls you hit in forza, and charge accordingly!!!

might be cheaper to buy a new one dave!! lol.

ps: i bought another new 20gb Xbox and swapped the hard drives over (so i still had my points, game saves, demos, music etc...

and will send the old one off to microsoft when i get 5 minutes.

i will then stick it on ebay with some games... prolly get about £150 back that way
