Southend Air Show....
What a let down this was.....
I remember previous years, how much activity took place on this day.
We managed to get out in the hour or so's sunshine to watch the red arrows on Sunday, then spent the rest of the weekend drinking and playing cards with my folks...
I don't know how the other people felt who'd spend all year planning this trip and making long journeys to the "event"
I did however get a few good pics, which i'll post up later, when i get home
Bring back the Harriers!!!!

the council are such a bunch of morons ... this event should never take place this early into the spring period. it should br on the august bank holiday when the weather is slightly more predictable.
complete waste of money in all the set up.
also idiots standing on wings of baron munchousen planes has been done now. we want to see jets and rare fighters

was so looking forward to some more jet noise. have to say, the red arrows were, as always, superb!!!
didn't even bother walking down any further than the Halfway House from Thorpe Bay anyway, in fear of being subjected to tattooed, single parent lesbian, Waynettas f'ing and blinding... - Quality event

agree on the arrows ... very very good display. I was viewing from the safety of a westcliff balcony so managed to avoid the crowds that you speak of
