Default Does this "work"?

Hadleigh castle is fairly uninteresting as castles go, so being creative I took this shot....

Colour

or Black and White

Or just doesn't work as a picture?

The Colour enhanced shot looks the better IMO, but with the subject matter as it is, not sure what you are trying to achieve here?

Is there a specific reason why this shot - at this angle? I only ask as there is no scale to the formatting, so as someone who has never been there, or even knows where it is, I'm struggling to find an aspect to it to give me some perspective to why you took the shot.

DOF is good, maybe a tad too much?

All the above BTW is only a personal opinion and is no way any form of criticism......

Looie,

There isn't much to look at at hadleigh castle, Milambers pic (IMO) makes the castle look more 'castle-like' than the ruins that it actually is .

I'm no art "critic" - and I've never been there personally - just as well cause it looks a bit dull LOL - anyhow - from the unedited photo above I think Milambers pic does add a little something and makes it look more "interesting"

Works for me

Chris, quality shot, but IMHO could do with more focus on the texture, as as said above, its a "BIT" shot of a bigger subject...

the blue sky looks mad....

keep 'em coming....

i like the b&w version of the first image milamer. much more dramatic. Conveys a sense of what could have gone on there centuries ago.

i like wildlife photograhpy. couple of mine.

Cheers for the comments Guys.

Milamber - these were just luck shots. I tend to just reel off loads and hope that there are some good ones lol.

Dazza - yup Colchester zoo. Good place for animal pics. The last one is the only on that wasn't shot through glass.
