Central Locking Q?
My central locking doesn't work - the key fob activates the alarm and controls the driver's door, but the other doors have to be locked and opened manually (which is a real pain in the backside).
Is this an easy job, i.e. something that can be done myself, or does it require savvy LMAO!
If it requires a mechanic of sort, would it need to be an auto electrician or can any grease monkey do it?

central locking weighs too much. that's why it's not on real drivers imprezas like the type ra
only kidding, it may be something as simple as the remote unlock button needs to be pressed twice to unlock all doors. vw have this feature. or may be something as simple as a sticky solenoid.
cornelius would be a good shout for help.

as the car is a classic, remote central locking wasn't an option.
On after market alarms, to have full remote central locking, you have to put an actuator on the driver door lock mechanism, so depending on who fitted the alarm, it may not be fitted or the actuator is faulty.
Either way I have a spare actuator in my box of tricks if you want it. takes about 1/2 hour to fit.
