Call me, too much to say on here lol
twinscroll turbo, HID lighting, 8k rpm limit, better cams, better heads, front mounted I/C water spray with auto mode, no TGVs, rear wiper, 235 tyres, DCCD different dash, different clocks to name a few.

If Zak still has the Ever Vreddy's on offer they are a bargain at something like £90 a corner for the 235's. The 225's weren't that much cheaper IIRC.
You gonna wax those babies up ?
Edited to say ...something like a chemical guys wheel guard, poorboys wheel sealent or my personal fav chemical guys wet mirror finish under 2 layers of chemical guys jet seal. I will probably make mine all fruity with a layer of Swissvax too

Call me anytime after 12 noon mate as im on lates, or i call bell you when im free beforehand. The twinscroll turbo is probably best explained over the phone. But, in short. the twinscroll has 2 inlets from the exhaust turbine housing.
Each port has only the gases from 2 cylinders entering it that are paired in cycle. Because they are paired in cycle the turbocharger recieves 2 separate pulse waves into the turbine housing. This massively improves spool and turbo response. A twinscroll is likely to spool at least 500rpm sooner than that of a singlescroll of the same size/spec engine.
This makes the car much more lively to drive, and much more usable day to day. Ultimately faster on the road than its UK counterpart by some margin mate

The JDM has a lower final gear ratio, great for acceleration, but irritatingly high rpm when cruising.
Mine has the JDM gearing, and it is the one thing I would do differently, although maybe better for the 2.0 peakier power delivery?

Also harder to find exhausts that marry-up to the twin scroll.
I have to admit my brother has been a bit frustrated with his MY04 JDM STi when looking at modding it. A few things he has wanted to do he either can't as easily or it appears to be more expensive than on a UK car
In fact he may be selling it soon.

I'd go for a JDM myself... but don't forget the extra insurance cost of a JDM

Interesting debate 
I was advised to buy a UK with a view to modding to min 400/400.
Further modding can be achieved but for the moment want to get used to the extra power from a standard UK STI.
Normally I would buy a JDM (had a STI 5 before) as the styling was different as was the power as standard which offered a lot back in the day (UK compared to JDM). I dont see a massive difference in styling between the UK STI & the STI. The only advantage currently is that I can order parts from any UK Subaru dealer but with the import I did have problems obtaining some parts for my STI 5 (maybe its changed now).

With all the effort your putting in on the current project you should be able to do another project along side the existing one Go on have your time again I always find your updates very interesting Frayz as you seem to find ways of doing things that others just dream of

My insurance Is now considerable cheaper on the JDM STi Than my UK 03 WRX with PPP on, and that's with all mods as well.
Chris if you would like a go of a twin scroll JDM to see the difference I will be at the posers cruise Saturday, the only thing is once you try you will be spoiled and won't want a UK car after mate
