Guys/girls,

I recently purchased some new discs, pads and hoses for my '02 bugeye WRX.

I have looked at the item numbers on the pads (Mintex Xtreme), and the fronts are MDB1748X and the rears are MDB2562X.

Problem is, I am unsure as to whether I have been sent the correct pads. Both appear to be the correct shape for my standard callipers, but the fronts are the wrong part number. They are listed as being for Nissan 200SX...now, I am aware a lot of Jap cars share parts, but further research only showed these up to fit the WRX wagon. Can I use these parts or have I simply been sent the wrong stuff?


I am awaiting a response from the seller, but I would appreciate it if any of you with more experience could assist!

Have you an old front pad to compare it to?

I don't personally know the fitments of the 200SX pads but its quite possible it could be the same as the WRX items.

200SX and some Scoobies do have the same brake pads mate, I've fitted loads of standard pads and uprated and most have listed them as 200SX so nothing to worry about

I haven't got old ones to look at unfortunately, as the work is being done by a garage. I'm a bit worried I'll be wasting my time!
