Agreed

I am using Toyo T1R's at the moment, but my brother and my friend run the Parada's on their WRX's and they are fantastic, so i'll be trying them next

Re phone convo mate.

No point buying silly tyres that look good for the sake of it but you cant use em. Find for dry/trackday but not for the road.

Im running the Vredestein Ultrac sessantas at the mo, came 2nd in EVO tyre test last month. Top spot was the all new aysemetric GYE F1.

You gotta keep it a little real mate as to what you want em for. If its for dry/track id go for the Yoko AO48s in a slightler harder compound. Cheap through SIDC and will wear better than the R888s. Still much softer than most road tyres but firmer than teh 888s.

You need to decide what you want the tyre first before attempting to make a choice. Id also recomend you drive on a few in all conditions too.

You could easilly spunk over £500/£600 on rubber that you then find you dont get on with.

Heres the sessanta anyway.

Tiny,

Got to agree with Frayz, and to be honest I think a super sticky (dry) tyre whilst maybe looking good, would be a poor all round choice. Especially know how you use the car.
I currently run Prada2's v.good in the dry, 'intersting' if damp/wet.

The Veredestein's Dave mentioned would prob suit perfectly, Winter is coming and I will prob get a set for mine.
Plus I think Mocom are doing a special deal on them at present, I will ask Zak for you today when I am up there.

Vredestein Ultrac sessantas 235/40/18 for me, the foamers choice

Nice and sticky and serious rim protection for the new wheels mate.

I was impressed with the Vredestein Ultracs I tried. That's what I would go for.

I find mine good in the wet

I haven't tried the Vr, Vr ......the ones that Zak does but if you find them better I would be interested in giving them a go

Perhaps its time for a tyre testing session

Brands in Feb anyone?

I'm up for brands!!!!!! testing or otherwise!!!!!

Don't get the Toyo T1R's.
The Yoko Prada's looked good, great in the dry, but again i found them a little interesting in the wet.
Goodyear F1's were great and would get my vote.
The Ver... Ver.... have no idea, never driven on them. maybe you could borrow Frayz's wheels and try them on your car now and see if you find any difference?
